Audio-Frequency Remote Control (AFRC)

The integrated AFRC features of the IDS HIGH-LEIT SCADA system enable the user to carry out all the AFRC-relevant configuration and monitoring tasks. The complete integration of the AFRC functions into the SCADA system’s user environment ensures easy and user-friendly operation.

AFRC Features in IDS HIGH-LEIT:

  • Integration of AFRC functions into the alarm and optimization functions
  • Creation of complex schedules
  • Event-controlled triggering (signal, optimization) with limitation of validity
  • Load-controlled triggering through load control in the network control system
  • Manual triggering through operating personnel

The integration of the AFRC system into the hardware is done through expanding the IDS 850 RTU by an additional module into a local AFRC controller RK 850, thereby providing a communication infrastructure for telecontrol and audio-frequency remote control.

Features of the AFRC System:

  • Utilization of secure telecontrol protocols according to IEC 60870-5-101/-104
  • Utilization of redundant communication pathways
  • Complete control and monitoring of audio-frequency transmitters
  • Management and processing of command
  • Triggering of AFRC commands through local digital inputs
  • External output of commands from the SCADA system or from the emergency operation level
  • Immediate check of the pulse sequence via pulse filter
  • Support of the synchronized mode in connected networks
  • Support of telegrams fort he remote parameterization of receivers
  • Local connection of notebook for emergency operation
  • Decentralized time synchronization
