Solutions for Smart Power Grids
The specifications laid down in the incentive regulations, as well as the new law on measuring points and demands for energy saving and energy efficiency, necessitate a closer look at medium (m.v.) and low voltage (l.v.) distribution networks. The data acquired by the customer are not only important for billing purposes (Smart Metering), but also for the effective and economical monitoring and control of power grids (Smart Grid). Both issues can be addressed via only one infrastructure; in the future, it will be possible to include Smart Home applications as well.
