SCADA and Telecontrol System for Tehran Province/Iran
Operation, Monitoring and Optimisation of the Water Supply Network
Tehran Water and Wastewater Company (TPWWW Co.) is a 100% owned by the Iranian state and is in charge of the complete water supply for the province of Tehran.
In this arid province, water is a precious commodity and is required in large quantities. Due to its geographic location, sprawling at the foot of the Tochal mountain range, Tehran has an enormously complex water supply network; it consists of seven waterworks, five dams, 53 pumping stations and 47 elevated reservoirs. Thanks to the new SCADA system, over 12 million people can be supplied with water.
IDS received the order for the delivery of a turn-key SCADA system. This order included the installation of the control system as well as the SCADA system, telecommunication system and instrumentation.
Installation and commissioning was done by a consortium consisting of IDS and the Iranian company ITA. The Tehran company Kayson provided support in the erection of the new central control building.
