In the field of gas applications, IDS HIGH-LEIT provides extensive functionalities for gas output forecasts. Apart from two adaptive mathematical forecast approaches and forecasting via neural networks, the system may also include a climate database for the long-term archiving of reference days.
User-friendly software modules are available for the optimisation of gas flow rates (hourly/daily contracts) with storage tanks, compensation reservoirs and interruptible loads, and for management of the latter.
For the operation and monitoring of gas networks owned by regional and interregional suppliers, IDS HIGH-LEIT offers an extensive range of functionalities, such as:
- Forecast of daily/weekly/yearly load curves
- Demand optimisation for different types of contracts
- System buffer management
- Reservoir management
- Switch-off management
- Climatic database
- Management of free and spot quantities
The IDS automation system for gas stations includes:
- Gas flow rate control
- Further open- and closed-loop control functions, such as optimisation of the measuring distance and of gas preheating systems
- Monitoring functions for meter protection, pressure maintenance, minimum quantities
- Telecontrol functions
- Connection of third-party systems via DSfG bus
The system can be controlled and completely parameterised either by means of a distributed automation system or via a superordinate control system.
