Multitenancy
HIGH-LEIT provides functions for the administration of tenants/clients. A tenant is a user within the SCADA system to whom only a part of the data model is assigned. The different tenants have different access authorisations for the data model of the main system, i.e. they may access only specific process images, graphs, reports, protocols and messages but not the complete scope of data. The remaining system data is concealed.
The multitenancy function enables a central service provider to execute tasks in the fields of system administration and operations control in small-scale supply companies (tenant), including the parameterisation and maintenance of the system and user support, as well as stand-by duty outside the regular working hours and tasks in the field of higher-level applications (HEO). HEO functions include forecast and optimisation in the power and gas industry or, for instance, leak detection in water systems, troubleshooting in power grids or pipeline network simulations in gas and water systems. All these are tasks which a single tenant is usually unable to carry out cost-effectively and with only his own staff.
