ACOS NMSmobile - Mobile Solutions
ACOS NMSmobile aids the user in the processing of work orders, the feedback of work orders and time recording; for this purpose, mobile terminals, such as tablet PCs or hand-held terminals can be integrated.
ACOS NMSmobile supports the following activities:
- Reduction of processing times through the integration of mobile terminals
- Access to equipment master data
- Ad hoc creation of activities
- Paperless execution of works
The system architecture of ACOS NMSmobile enables both the on-line and off-line interfacing of terminals. For off-line interfacing, an autonomous system interface is installed on the mobile terminal, and the work order data of the respective staff are matched cyclically with those in the central server. Via an efficient synchronization mechanism, the results of the work order execution are entered in the server database for updating. With the off-line solution, the user is not affected by possible communication problems.
The on-line solution on the mobile terminal directly accesses the central server via browser and UMTS/GPRS or GSM. All functions are available without having to carry out any installation works.
The integration of an automotive navigation system enables the location and transmission of a staff vehicle’s current position. Especially the operators of distribution networks derive considerable benefit from the optimization of work order processing through starting directly “from the field” and through the wireless transmission of ad-hoc measures.
