A clear and comprehensive master data administration system saves the data from all measuring points and for all media used within the company in a central database and makes them available to operators in a clearly structured manner. Central master data kept in SAP are automatically imported and synchronized.The acquisition of meter readings and of the corresponding consumption data is done automatically from the SCADA systems, via interfaces or manually by means of control slips. As an option, it is possible to input meter readings via mobile terminals, thereby additionally optimizing the process.
Immediately after data input, a plausibility check is done on the basis of statistic methods; this helps the user to avoid incorrect inputs and, consequently, time-consuming fault localization caused by inaccurate inputs. System administrators, moreover, can carry out plausibility checks across various accounting grids in order to detect leaks at an early stage.
The various different data import procedures are processed in time sequences at different intervals. Based on accurate time sequences, consumption quantities are then assigned to cost centres or cost units, also using virtual measuring points. For this purpose, substitute values as well as unit charges, power prices and network charges can be taken into account.
