One of IDS Group’s most successful years is coming to a close.

Personnel Changes in Sales Department – Henry Rahn leaves IDS GmbH for GÖRLITZ AG
Dear customers and business partners,
I would like to thank you personally for your confidence and good cooperation of the past years. I herewith inform you about my transfer to our subsidiary, GÖRLITZ AG, where I will work as head of sales. My decision has been motivated by the following objectives: optimisation of internal business networks and an intensive exchange of knowledge within the IDS Group. Our goal is to create sustainable integral solutions to provide maximum customer benefit.
My successor as head of sales of IDS GmbH is Dr Kai Luppa. Dr Luppa has extensive experience in the market for SCADA and telecontrol systems. He has filled several positions in different companies working in the fields of electrical plant engineering, SCADA systems and metering. In the past, Dr Luppa has also worked for IDS Group members GÖRLITZ AG and EPS GmbH, and he is looking forward to new challenges and tasks at his new position with IDS GmbH.

CALLUX Box – Field Test on Fuel Cells for Family Homes
To enable the transmission of measuring data and system messages of fuel cell heaters via a uniform communication protocol, IDS GmbH and the Callux Consortium have developed the CALLUX Box as part of a field test, thereby paving the way for using cogeneration units in single-family or two-family homes, to provide a smart and decentralized energy supply.
Together with the Callux consortium, IDS has developed the cogeneration unit on the basis of the ACOS 7 automation system series. A communication interface for decentralized energy supply units enables data exchange with different types of fuel-cell units and all the necessary energy meters. For communication with the network control centres, the Callux Box uses the IEC 61850-7-420 protocol on the basis of WebServices.

E-world energy & water 2012: See you there!
IDS GmbH will exhibit on Europe’s leading energy trade which takes place in Essen from February 7th to 9th, 2012. Together with our subsidiaries, CAIGOS GmbH and BERG GmbH, we exhibit at GÖRLITZ AG’s stall no. 514 in Hall 2, showcasing solutions for energy feed-in management as a SCADA function, interfacing with renewable energy plants and their integration into SCADA systems, energy management, l.v. networks with GIS integration into SCADA systems, and the asset management system ACOS NMS.
