Jointly with its subsidiaries, TCE TeleControlExpert GmbH (Ettlingen) and Erwin Peters Systemtechnik GmbH (Bochum), IDS GmbH is going to present innovative products for the efficient operation and maintenance of power networks on the SPS/IPC/DRIVES Trade Fair in Nuremberg from November 24 – 26, 2009 (Hall 7, Stand 7-581). Apart from showcasing systems and solutions in control engineering, telemetry and automation, IDS also focuses on current topics such as Smart Metering.

IDS presents itself as an internationally established all-rounder whose solid growth is also based on high investments in development activities. One ground-breaking product of these activities, amongst others, is the new compact hybrid automation and telecontrol device ACOS 750. This hybrid device is unique on the market and can also be used for complex and time-critical automation tasks. On the other hand, IDS have enforced their activities in the fields of network management and IT solutions by promoting the continuous development of the modular ACOS NMS network management system.

The establishment of IDS Switzerland AG and the simultaneous commencement of business activities at the beginning of March 2009, IDS GmbH have given a clear signal for further international growth, the objective being the sound intensification of international activities.

With the takover of the company Erwin Peters Systemtechnik GmbH (Bochum) in April 2009, and of the Telecontrol Division of AEG ursatronics GmbH (Berlin) in November 2009, IDS Group steadily continue to pursue their strategy for solid expansion. The purchase of the AEG ursatronics’ Telecontrol Division, consisting of the departments Sales, Project and R&D, is part of the consistent growth strategy of IDS. All employees will become part of IDS, and will be integrated into the newly established IDS branch in Berlin.

True to the motto “Fit for the Future“, IDS GmbH steadily continues on the road to success and has strengthened its position amongst the market leaders for the provision of complex project solutions for grid operators. Moreover, IDS has proved its ability to develop and provide adequate solutions for the continually changing requirements of a liberalised energy market.
