As of 30 April 2009, IDS GmbH with headquarters in Ettlingen (IDS) have taken over all shares of Erwin Peters Systemtechnik GmbH (EPS), Bochum (W. Germany).

Certification acc. to VDE V 0109-1 under way
In the middle of next year, the prestandard VDE V 0109-1 will become valid. This prestandard regulates the maintenance of installations and components of power supply grids. The IDS network management system ACOS NMS helps operators and owners to achieve compliance with those regulations, and it is currently being certified by VDE (German Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) in accordance with the VDE V 0109-1 prestandard.

IDS GmbH and EPS GmbH join Forces for the Future
As of 30 April 2009, IDS GmbH (Ettlingen) have taken over all shares of Erwin Peters Systemtechnik GmbH (EPS), Bochum (W. Germany).
IDS is a medium-size company in private ownership with an annual turnover of ca. 28 million Euro. The acquisition of EPS forms a part of IDS’s growth strategy.
In this new constellation, EPS will continue to operate as an independent company and pursue its operative activities on the market. The development of products and services from EPS will be continued according to plan. Thanks to the cooperation with EPS GmbH, IDS is not only able to expand its portfolio, especially with regard to products for system engineering applications, but also has now an additional branch in the Ruhr area. The business activities of EPS are focussed especially on the automation and management of supply networks, system engineering and the planning of transmission systems, with particular emphasis on “S7-compatible automation” for water supply and disposal applications and automation systems. IDS currently employs ca. 300 staff in the departments R&D, sales, production, projects and administration. Your EPS contacts will be available under their usual addresses and telephone numbers.
