New Data Logger IDS 620

The battery-powered IDS 620 data logger is suitable for installation in places without power supply, e.g. in meter ducts. Depending on which accumulator/battery is used, the IDS 620 data logger has an autonomous service life of up to 2 years.

Communication takes place via a GSM modem which is activated only for selection/data transmission. The data logger supports the IEC 60870-5-101 transmission protocol.

IDs 620 has 4 signal inputs, 4 + 1 analogue inputs (the extra analogue input serves for monitoring of the battery) and 4 counter value inputs.

Parameterisation can be done as local or remote parameterisation via the IDS HIGH-LEIT SCADA system.

The IDS 620 data logger has an archive memory for ca. 12,000 values. Transmission of archived values to the IDS HIGH-LEIT SCADA system is possible; the time of transmission can be preset during parameterisation. Additionally, IDS 620 has a limit monitoring function for analogue values.

The IDS 620 data logger comes completely mounted in a plastic housing IP 65 for wall mounting, including GSM modem and battery/accumulator.

ACOS NMS Product Suite

In a liberalised energy market, the cost pressure on power companies is continually increasing.    Seeing that the quality of supply networks is directly related to investments into system management, the upgrading of power grids and maintenance, it is vital to bring costs and supply quality in line. Against this background, there is an increasing demand towards efficient and uniform IT solutions which are capable of linking technical and commercial departments across system borders. The ACOS product suite from IDS offers customised IT solutions for the power companies’ core processes. The range of services includes consultancy services up to complete turnkey solutions and lays the foundations for successful activities on an increasingly competitive market. The ACOS product suite has a modular structure and can be adapted to all requirements:

    * ACOS AM - Resource Management
    * ACOS MM – Maintenance Management
    * ACOS OM – Fault Management
    * ACOS WFM – Workforce Management
    * ACOS X4 – Integration Platform

For further information, please refer to the ACOS NMS data sheet or contact Mr Stefan Dinger, Phone +49 7243 218-651, Email.

Acceptance Test at Stadtwerke Bonn

In April 2008, IDS GmbH successfully concluded the project “SCADA System for the Public Transport System“ fort he City of Bonn`s Public Transport Company (SWBV). The SCADA system serves for the operation and monitoring of the power supply of the tramway line network run by SWBV, which covers a total length of 125 km.

The SCADA system also monitors important facilities at the 55 tram stops above and under ground (e.g. emergency lighting, escalators and lifts, ticket machines). It also features a crossbar control for the management of PA announcements.

The scope of the project comprises the ready-for-operation delivery of the fully redundant HIGH-LEIT NT SCADA system, including the complete exchange of telecontrol hardware at 27 rectifier stations and stops.

All the works were implemented without disturbances and during the operating hours. The central control room was established on the premises of SWBV’s control centre which was completely revamped in 2007.
