Asset Management and IT Solutions for supporting Operative Grid Management in Energy Supply Companies and the Industry
IDS GmbH will showcase innovative products for the efficient operation and management of supply networks at the E-world energy & water trade fair which will be held from Feb 10 to 12, 2009, in Essen/Germany. The IDS stand is situated in Hall 2, Stall 116; visitors will have the opportunity to get information on maintenance and workforce management solutions for suppliers and industrial enterprises, and their integration into an existing system environment, e.g. SCADA systems, GIS and ERP.
The incentive-based regulation continues to tighten the pressure on grid transmission fees; at the same time, demands on the return of investment continually increase. The objective is therefore to optimise the grid service’s efficiency while staying within the limits of the budget.
IDS GmbH strives to provide customers with tailor-made solutions for asset management, asset service and reporting based on the ACOS NMS product suite.
The ACOS NMS Network Management System has a modular structure with the following functions:
- Resource management
- Maintenance management
- System evaluation
- Status- and risk-dependent maintenance planning
- Fault management
- Automatic generation of FNN, DVGW and BNA statistics
- Order management
- Operations scheduling
- Document management
- Web compatibility
- Evaluation
- Staff planning and dispatching
- Integration into ERP and GIS
ACOS NMS is designed for the mapping of typical grid operation processes. The ACOS X4 middleware component allows for its seamless integration into systems like SAP R/3, GIS and SCADA systems which, for the first time, enables the mapping of grid processes in an IT system without media disruption.
