E-world Trade Fair in Essen (08 – 10 February 2011)

Again, IDS GmbH was present on the E-world trade fair in Essen, Europe’s leading fair on energy-related services and solutions. In Hall 3, Stand no. 169, IDS showcased innovative solutions around the topics Optimisation of technical business processes in energy supply companies (network management systems) and Optimisation of energy consumption in industrial enterprises (energy controlling and billing systems).

With the network management suite ACOS NMS and IDS HIGH-LEIT SCADA technology, IDS GmbH consistently focuses on IT solutions to boost the efficiency of energy suppliers’ technical systems and installations.

The integration platform ACOS X4 enables the comprehensive integration of technical and commercial IT systems, as well as the adaptation of the workflow for data access and input to company-specific process environments and organisation.

Furthermore, IDS GmbH presented on this fair a uniform system solution for cathodic corrosion protection. With the ACOS CPS protection station, the ACOS 720 and 710 compact controllers and the central control system WinKKS, we offer a highly integrative system solution which does not only fulfil the requirements of the owners of telecommunication lines, local networks and tank farms, but also ensures adherence to the respective standards, G 412 and GW 12.

New possibilities have been opened up through the integration of GIS systems which support a variety of operational processes through geo-referenced functions. Through the integration of a GIS kernel, the staff of energy supply companies are able to map not only the process status but also the technical, commercial and historical data on installations within a system/network directly onto the geographic basis. This comprehensive overview of networks and installations enables the optimisation of core processes in power supply companies – i.e. network planning, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting -, and, consequently, opens up considerable cost saving potentials.
