IDS GmbH and the Turkish company PIOMAK – two global players in automation, network control and IT solutions for energy supply companies – have joined forces to found the company IDS PIOMAK AUTOMATION A.S., to strengthen their position on the Turkish market.

To celebrate this joint venture, a signing ceremony and press meeting with breakfast was  held on Friday, 16 July, 2010, at the Ephesus-Byzantine saloon of the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Taksim, Istanbul. The event was hosted by the CEOs of IDS and PİOMAK, Messrs. Norbert WAGNER and Oral AVCI. After their welcoming address, the two CEOs highlighted their visions and ideas for the Turkish market resulting from this joint venture.

IDS GmbH and PIOMAK hope that this new Turkish-German company will create new synergies and provide new impulses to the automation sector in the energy and water business in Turkey.

IDS GmbH and Piomak Automation Company Inc. have successfully cooperated in many projects in Turkey since 1992. Thus, the decision was made to start a joint venture under the name of "IDS PİOMAK AUTOMATION A.S." to provide state-of-the-art solutions for the Turkish automation and energy sector.
The co-operation of IDS GmbH and PIOMAK will open a product portfolio for turnkey solutions, starting from the acquisition of process data, local control and data transmission to the operation and monitoring of processes. Additionally, the portfolio includes ultra-modern software modules for optimised operation (simulation, estimation, forecast, leakage detection etc.), and is rounded off by an IT integration platform for the optimisation of the entire business process.

In addition to aforementioned product portfolio, IDS PIOMAK offers the full scope of related services, ranging from basic and detailed design, engineering, factory tests, installation and commissioning up to customer training and after-sales service.

This partnership will also provide an excellent basis for an intensive exchange of technical know-how between Germany and Turkey.
